2019 - 60th ANNIVERSARY OF THE BREWERY MUSEUM IN PILSEN

In 2019, the Brewery Museum in Pilsen celebrated its 60th anniversary. This anniversary of the museum was the impetus for one of the programs that took place as part of the 23rd IFF CIOFF PILSEN 2019 which was shown on the stage U Branky in Pilsen on June 7, 2019 with great spectator interest.

Not only interesting artifacts from the collections of the Brewery Museum in Pilsen were presented directly on the festival scene, but for the first time the public was also introduced to the original historical costume of maltsters (in 2 variants: from the late 19th century and 1930s). The historical crafts of the Pilsen brewery were also mentioned - especially the work of renowned Pilsen coopers.

Folk songs from the Pilsen region about beer, coopers and pubs were played during the show by folk music ensembles Jiskra and Mladina from Pilsen, folk literature was quoted - folk sayings and proverbs about beer - and there was a demonstration of folk magical practices that were allegedly used before so that the beer is guaranteed to succeed ... The whole show ended with the tapping of a keg of Pilsner beer right on the stage and a mass toast - "If you have sadness on your soul, Pilsner makes you happy!"
