2020 - IN THE SHADOW OF PANDEMY COVID-19

Unfortunately, the year 2020 entered the history of the festival as an exceptional year, when the next upcoming festival year did not take place… A pandemic of a new type of coronavirus (covid - 19) has spread around the world, which for a time has literally paralyzed all events not only in the Czech Republic, but also in other countries around the world. The organization of mass events was banned, state borders were closed, people kept at home, sewed masks, and health concerns all of us has been mixing with general uncertainty.

Although the 24th year of the festival was prepared for 2020, the performing ensembles contracted and the first promotional materials already printed, we were forced to cancel the festival, respectively move up to the next year. The same fate befell practically all other organizers of folklore festivals in the Czech Republic this year.

But let's not just sit with our hands in our pockets, at a time when government restrictions and measures against the spread of coronavirus were slowly easing, in places where normally the folklore lives in Pilsen in June, we shot at least a small video as an invitation for next year. We are looking for a better future and we are looking forward to June 2021!
