The children's folk ensemble Meteláček was founded in 1982. From humble beginnings, it gradually expanded and gained artistic quality. The ensemble is a regular participant in national competitions, various folklore meetings and shows. Several times he won the 1st prize in the central round of the ZUŠ competition, most recently in 2015 in Mikulov. Today, the ensemble has approximately 30 members and very often performs in public at various social events in the country and abroad. He participated, for example, in the United Games international children's games in 1993 in Slovenia, previously he regularly performed at concerts in Germany (Regensburg, Weiden, Plattling, Traunstein, Stuttgart, etc.). In June 1995, Meteláček performed at a festival in Lithuania. A tour of France in 1996 was also a great success, ending with a reception at Paris City Hall by Mayor Jean Tibari. The ensemble also participated in the European Dance Festival in Kranechfeld (Germany) - in 1999 and in 2006 and 2012 performed at the International Music Festival in Kristianstadt, Sweden. The group achieved further international success at the 16th European Folk Music Festival in Stuttgart, Germany in 2008 and on a trip to Poreč, Croatia in 2015 and 2018. Currently, Meteláček is one of the best children's folk musicians in the Czech Republic. The repertoire consists mainly of songs from southwestern Bohemia.

Malý Meteláček was founded a few years later with the aim of preparing young singers and musicians for a smooth transition to the big Meteláček. From an early age, we guide children to singing, playing an instrument, folk art and national feeling, which is very important and necessary nowadays. The ensemble has around 25 small musicians. Children between the ages of 4 and 11 perform here. Although the average age of this group is so low, it can be said that it has become one of the popular groupings that spread joy to the public and achieved indisputable successes. In his ensemble category and in 2006 he even took part in the central round in Břeclav.
