2006 – TENTH BIRTHDAY OF THE FESTIVAL, PILSEN FOLKLORE SCENE
In addition to celebrating the 10th birthday of the festival, the year 2006 became a significant part of the festival history as the year of foundation of the civil association Pilsen Folklore Scene. Due to the ever-expanding festival programme and with it associated increase in the volume of organizational tasks and economic agenda, it was necessary to create a new independent association. Nevertheless, the original organizer of the festival - The Jiskra Folklore Ensemble – still continues to be the main cooperating organizer and deals mainly with staffing issues and technical background of the festival.
