2005 – NEW FACE OF THE MAIN FESTIVAL STAGE "U BRANKY"
Stability and surface quality of the main festival stage are the most crucial criteria for dance performances especially of large ensembles. After using some very amateur festival stages during the first years of the festival and the subsequent period of testing of many variants of the main festival stage, only in 2005 the festival gained a high-quality stage with a suitable anti-skid surface. Of course, festival spectators were also thought about – since 2005 a new tribune has been used to ensure comfortable seating together with good view of every place of the stage. In 2005, one part of the festival performances took place in the Zoological Garden in Pilsen and during this event two young animals were baptized: the little penguin got the name "Metelacek" and the monkey brown malpa was named "IYASA" and it now carries the name of the folklore ensemble from Zimbabwe.
