2022 - FESTIVAL IS BACK! NEW STAGE U MATOUŠŮ, BENEFICIUM IN TŘEMOŠNÁ
After two canceled editions and a forced hiatus caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, folklore returned to the stage in Pilsen, and the long-awaited 24th edition of the festival took place. It brought several innovations right away! The biggest one was the premiere on a completely new festival stage, which we dreamed of in the beautiful setting of the Selský dvůr U Matoušů in Plzeň - Bolevec. With the program "Na bolevecký návsi", we also commemorated the 640th anniversary of the first mention of the village of Bolevec. The feedback on the festival program in the unique backdrop of the Bolevec farmstead was excellent, so the festival likely gained another permanent stage for the future, with a big thank you to the National Heritage Institute for their cooperation. We also organized a small exhibition of photographs "Ze života na statku" directly in the farmstead, which we took during the "COVID" break the previous year. Another novelty was the organization of a charity concert in Třemošná. In cooperation with the Třemošná Music School, the "Concert for Kubík" took place, the proceeds of which were entirely devoted to supporting a sick boy. Thus, the festival gained another new dimension through charity, and the festival performers contributed to a good cause. The entire festival took place under the patronage of the Minister of Culture of the Czech Republic, Martin Baxa, who personally attended the festival. During the festival, we welcomed official delegations from the Embassies of Spain, Slovakia, and Bosnia and Herzegovina in Prague to Pilsen.
