2021 - IN THE SHADOW OF PANDEMY COVID-19 II.

Unfortunately, despite our optimistic expectations, the year 2021 was still marked by the persistent pandemic of covid-19 in our country and in the world and the festival itself did not take place this year either. Although in the spring months there seemed to be a pandemic is slowly receding, current government anti - epidemic measures (and conditions for
organizing cultural events with singing and dancing set by the Regional Hygiene station of the Pilsen region) were unfortunately still not favorable enough to be able to prepare and implement the festival program at the appropriate level. It was problematic also the state of folklore ensembles in the Czech Republic and abroad, whose activities were on several long months due to coronavirus completely stopped and started only slowly preparation for renewal…

But we tried to use the time at least to make it for the future festival program and found new elements. It became a great challenge and attraction mainly at that time the newly reconstructed U Matoušů farm in Pilsen - Bolevec (national cultural monument), which is a magical island of preserved folk architecture of the Pilsen region. The idea to organize a part of the festival directly on the farm also appealed to warden and the National Monuments Institute, so we clapped! I'm looking forward to next year, when we will revive the farmyard with performances by folklore ensembles. Still in this
year (before the first opening of the farm to the public) we members of the Jiskra ensembles, Jiskra 58 and Jiskřička organized at least a large photo shoot in the interiors and exteriors of the farmyard. This created beautiful photos that we will work with them with pleasure in the future.

We do not give up, we do not stop looking for a better future - the festival atmosphere we are missing, but we are trying to be patient and we are looking forward to June 2022!
