2016 - FASHION SHOW OF THE FOLKLORE COSTUMES OF THE PILSEN REGION
In 2016, our cooperation with the Ethnographic Museum of the Plzeň Region ZCM in Plzeň started and the first joint project was a great fashion show of the original folk costumes of the Pilsen Region. For the first time in history the collections of the museum were presented in this stage form - thanks to the costume show various versions of folk costumes of the Pilsen Region literally "came alive" in front of the audience, some of them incredibly after more than one hundred years! Many of the costume components presented during the show went through a demanding restoration process before the show including jewellery work (for example, the "crown" for a bride from Chotesov). The presented folk costumes originated from the period 1840-1880 and were collected both from the so-called "wider Pilsen region" (the area of Plasy, Chotesov, Stribro) and the so-called "narrower Pilsen region". An integral part of the individual models was also the reconstruction of the corresponding historical hairstyles (especially the complex hairstyle worn by brides from Pilsen and from Chotesov).
