2012 - FOLKLORE DANCE ON THE STAGE

The main theme of the 16th year of the festival in 2012 became "Folklore Dance on the Stage". The theme was integrated in many of its forms in almost every part of the festival programme. The Pilsen audience could thus see various styles and different approaches to folklore dance. For the first time in the history of the festival, there was also a folklore dance workshop which introduced Czech folk dance styles not only to foreign participants of the festival. In 2012, the festival co-operated with the Centre for Support and Integration of Foreigners (Pilsen Region) and within the festival programme the Indonesian ensemble "Kintari" or the Vietnamese ensemble "Son Huong" operating in the Czech Republic were introduced. In addittion, the folklore programme within the festival returned to Dysina village in the form of the "International Folklore Afternoon".
