Danza Tradicional Muyu

The ensemble was founded in 2019 in the community of San Juan de Ilumán (Otavalo canton) with the aim of creating a space for cultural and artistic expression through traditional Andean dances. It seeks to strengthen cultural identity among children, youth, and adults, and to pass on ancestral knowledge from the Kichwa (Quechua) indigenous people of Ecuador.

The group consists of around 30 members who, through their dance choreographies, represent the rituals, customs, and traditions of the Andean peoples and bring them to the stage.
