Dyleň

The ensemble has been in existence since 1957 and today has more than 100 members in several sections - Dudácká muzika, Jeleni v Dyleni (students and young adults), Archivní složka (members of the ensemble who have danced and sung in the ensemble most of their lives and continue to dance despite their impressive average age of 69 years!), the ensemble also has its own children's ensemble. Dyleň is dedicated to the folklore of the Karlovy Vary region. Typical dances include Lendler, Šustrpolka, Rajnlendr etc. Or wheels and wheelbarrows, mateniks and handicraft dances that show the work of shoemakers, Erzgebirge woodcutters and peasants. The Dyleň ensemble performs regularly at home and abroad, and has performed in 28 countries during its existence! The ensemble is the organiser of the Karlovy Vary Folklore Festival.
