Mladinka a Mladinečka

The children';s folklore ensemble Mladinka was founded in 1986 under the name Škodováček. A year later, he created his own children';s music. From the beginning, he has been training dancers and musicians for the adult ensemble Mladina - formerly Škoda Plzeň. The ensemble functions as a registered association and is attended by around 70 children, who are divided into two groups according to age - older Mladinka and younger Mladinka. The group';s goal is to introduce children to the roots of our culture and bring folk art in a partially stylized form to the contemporary viewer. We focus primarily on stage performances of folk songs, dances and customs from Pilsen and Southwestern Bohemia. He is a regular guest of important folklore festivals in the Czech Republic (MFF Pilsen, Strážnice, Kunovské leto, Pardubice) and abroad (Germany - 1994, Turkey - 1996, USA - 1998, 2004, Hungary 2006, 2015, Slovakia 2011, Macedonia 2018). It organizes Christmas performances, exchange stays with ensembles from Bohemia and Moravia, and summer camps. The successes of the Mladinka ensemble include participation in the national rounds of the Children';s Folklore Ensemble Show in Kroměříž and Jihlava in 1989, 1992 and 2013.

The leaders of the Mladinka ensemble are Linda Hnátová and Jitka and Martin Šefl. The leaders of the Mladinečka ensemble are Marcela Voldřichová, Pavla Randová and MArtin Šefl. The head of music is Jaroslava Kaplanová.
