The group of songs and dances Jiskra was created in 1958. Since its foundation, it has been devoted to processing folklore material from western Bohemia – his repertoire includes folk songs and dances from Pilsen, Žinkovsko and Chodsko. Popular the music is based on the original Strájčové and bagpipe music, the musical and dance processing draws from folklore collections of the given areas. The individual bands are based on traditional expressions of annual and family customs. The ensemble consists of a dance, music and singing component. During his existence he made hundreds of performances on domestic and foreign stages and participated in festivals in various countries around the world. Folk music ensemble cooperates with Český rozhlas Plzeň, the whole ensemble has repeatedly presented itself on Czech television. File released 2 CDs - When I drive around Radyná... and Vod Plzně we';ll take the songs. This year, the ensemble celebrates its 65th anniversary since its inception. Jiskra is the main co-organizer of the International Folklore Festival CIOFF® Pilsen.
